Before forming CALO in 2012, I was a partner for three decades at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR), specializing in antitrust and intellectual property litigation and counseling. \u00a0As the founder and senior leader of the firm’s antitrust practice group, I was privileged to represent many of the iconic companies of the Silicon Valley, such as Apple, Seagate, Sun Microsystems, Google and Tesla–as well as a host of startups that flamed out along the way. For now it’s enough to say that I have an abiding passion for\u2014and have acquired a reasonably deep knowledge of\u2014the technology business and the competition laws affecting it. \u00a0Complementing my own practice, I was recently retained as an antitrust expert witness in support of Anthem’s litigation against Cigna, arising out of their failed $56 billion merger.<\/p>\n My clients have been gracious and flattering with their reviews<\/a> of my work. My peers have been generous in their recognition<\/a>. Even student evaluations<\/a>\u00a0from my antitrust courses at U.C.
